On November 16th, senior, Gianna Giegerich attended the "Fully Alive" National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Traveling with her St. Mary of the Lakes youth group and brother Dominic, Gianna gathered with over 12,000 young people all with the same passion: a passion for God. Her three days were filled with prayer, worship music, adoration, mass, presentations, confession, and break-out discussions. Several influential speakers in the church shared their experiences about our Catholic faith and the love that God provides for us. NCYC amplified Gianna's Catholic faith in a way she didn't know was possible, leaving her with an unforgettable, "shivers down your spine" experience. Mentioned several times on her trip we are reminded that "God is good all the time. All the time God is good."

Congratulations to Matteo Johnson '24, Aurelia Harp '24 and Grace Martin '25 (not pictured), who earned ALL-STATE BAND & CHOIR, respectively. This is an incredible accomplishment for each of these students individually, as well as collectively for The Arts at CCHS. The choir students were honored to perform with the All-State Choir on November 19, led by a professional conductor, this 100-piece orchestra and 350-voice chorus featured musicians from high schools state-wide, selected through a competitive audition process. NJPAC was proud to host these hardworking students and celebrate their musical achievements.

Reese Domico '25 recently returned from a week long service immersion trip to Jamaica with Mustard Seed Communities through the youth ministry program at The Catholic Community of Christ Our Light in Cherry Hill. Reese spent a week working directly with special needs children. While in Jamaica, she helped paint the children’s dorms, hosted a fun dance party for the kids, talked, prayed and reflected with them. She especially loved getting to know each of them and their uniqueness and what they do every day. Mustard Seed Communities (MSC) is an international nonprofit dedicated to caring for the most vulnerable populations throughout the developing world. MSC began in 1978 as a home for a handful of children with disabilities who had been abandoned to the streets of Jamaica. Today, MSC provides loving and lifelong care to over 600 children and adults with disabilities, children affected by HIV, and young mothers in crisis across Jamaica, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. MSC manages sustainable agriculture initiatives and provides education, nutrition, and skills training programs in order to improve the economic, social, and spiritual conditions within marginalized communities. Reese raised over $2,200, which well surpassed her goal of $1,600, to support the Mustard Seed home she served! Reese, you are a servant leader and a role model for your peers. #irishministry #missionofmercy #irishpride #CCHS2025
