On Holy Thursday we pray: Lord, we thank You for the gift of Your Son. May our entry into the mysteries of His life, death and resurrection give us the confidence to live with unshakeable faith in Your faithful and abiding love. We make this prayer to You in His name. Amen.

The annual CCHS Canada trip arrived in Montreal on Wednesday after an overnight bus ride. For the first day, students were able to overlook the city of Montreal from Mount Royal as the city was awakening. They visited St. Joseph's Oratory, the largest shrine to St. Joseph in the world. The students had the privilege of attending Mass in the crypt and later toured the Basilica, an architectural gem! They then toured Old Montreal learning about its history from tour guide, Monsieur Chuck. The group is now in Quebec City, where they enjoyed a delicious dinner in a trendy neighborhood followed by a visit to Martello Tower, number two, where the students took part in an interactive activity learning about the lives of British soldiers defending the tower during the war of 1812.

Camden Catholic celebrates Black History Month by highlighting the accomplishments of Black Alumni who are and who have made a difference in the world! First up is one of our most recent graduates, Anyah Griffin '23, who was an incredible student leader during her time at CCHS, and continues to thrive at college. She is currently a freshman at Hampton University and is involved in many campus activities, in addition to working towards her degree in strategic communications. She shares "I've had the pleasure of meeting remarkable individuals and attending enlightening talks by Vice President Kamala Harris and actress Taraji P. Henson. My schedule has been bustling with activity, as I've become involved in various organizations such as the Hampton Script, where I serve as a PR and Media Specialist, and as a member of the National Association of Black Journalists here at Hampton. Additionally, I've joined the Hampton arts organization, HBCU Canvas, and am participating in the school's Generation Action program." Anyah has also secured an internship at Dollar Tree Stores Inc. as a corporate communications intern, and she'll have fun participating in the upcoming Hampton Freshman Fashion Show.

🎄Christmas at CCHS is celebrated in many ways, and one of our most beloved traditions is the annual Christmas concert. 🎹This year the Arts department added a Christmas Recital for Dance and Piano students, and additional solo performances. 👏🏼We applaud our talented students for spreading Christmas cheer with their God-given talents and gifts and thank the many staff members who have devoted their time to the preparation of these events and continued formation of our Camden Catholic students.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT on Junior Lily Patullo, who is also an InSpire Marketing Intern. Lily shares her story of supporting a cause near and dear to she and her family: From October 27 to October 29, 2023, I walked 60 miles in Susan G. Komen's Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk. Ever since I could remember, my mom (Jaime Patullo '94) and aunts (Jackie Brown '96 and Jodi Brown '00) have been fundraising for and participating in this walk. When I was younger, our family would drive out to their route in Philadelphia to cheer them on, brandishing giant homemade posters and waving pink pom-poms in the air. These days are some of my fondest memories, and as I grew older, I wanted to walk, too. Finally, at 16 years old, when I became eligible, I joined my mom and aunts in my first walk. We walked again this year, in the Dallas/Fort Worth route, marking my second walk and their thirteenth. The BRCA1 genetic mutation runs in my mom's family, which correlates to at least a 50% chance of developing breast cancer in one's lifetime, and several members of our family have battled breast cancer over the years because of this. We walk for those who have survived, those we have lost, and those who continue to be affected by breast cancer.

On November 16th, senior, Gianna Giegerich attended the "Fully Alive" National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Traveling with her St. Mary of the Lakes youth group and brother Dominic, Gianna gathered with over 12,000 young people all with the same passion: a passion for God. Her three days were filled with prayer, worship music, adoration, mass, presentations, confession, and break-out discussions. Several influential speakers in the church shared their experiences about our Catholic faith and the love that God provides for us. NCYC amplified Gianna's Catholic faith in a way she didn't know was possible, leaving her with an unforgettable, "shivers down your spine" experience. Mentioned several times on her trip we are reminded that "God is good all the time. All the time God is good."
