The Arts at CCHS is proud to present The Addams Family, the 2026 spring musical at South Jersey’s most historic private high school, Camden Catholic High School Cherry Hill, showing at the school’s very own Grandi Auditorium on March 6, 7, 13 and 14 at 7:30PM and March 8 and 15 at 2PM. Approximately 50 students make up the colorful cast of characters who will perform the full version of the Broadway musical, supported by a pit orchestra made up of student musicians, and a crew of student stage managers, lighting and sound technicians and prop, costume and hair/makeup artists. Combined there are approximately 100 students involved in the show, led by alumni: director Angela Leone ‘04, technical director Joe Coyle ‘91, set designer Rob Klimowski ‘04, scenery artist Megan Austin ‘04, and hair/makeup artist Lauren Scott ‘05. In addition, faculty members Carleen Baron and Noemi Merenyi head up vocals/sound design and costumes, respectively, with the contributions of many other staff and parent volunteers rounding out the show crew.
“Our annual spring musical is unique in that we take no shortcuts,” shared CCHS Principal Heather Crisci, who doubles as the show’s producer. “Year after year, our audiences are not only entertained, but they are left in awe at the professional quality of the Camden Catholic spring musical, from our student talent to the production quality of the set, costuming, lighting and sound. This year will be no exception as we present The Addams Family Musical for the very first time. CCHS is doing the full Broadway musical as opposed to choosing a school or junior version,” shares Mrs. Crisci. “Another unique feature is the alumni support which we are blessed with year after year. From our incredible director Angela Leone, to Rob Klimowski designing the most creative sets, and Joe Coyle always figuring out a way to make the show come to life in the most realistic sense, each of these staff members are alumni who are giving back to the place that taught them so much as high school students.”
Among the technical highlights of this year’s show is a spooky set with fog and live portraits, a graveyard and a flying moon. The show is an entertaining mix of comedic chaos, creative choreography from choreographer Robert Rodriguez, and unique musicality which blends many genres. The hair and makeup department is being led by 2005 alumna Lauren (Brady) Scott, who owns Girl Town, a renowned beauty studio in Cherry Hill. Scott is excited to host workshops with the student crew who will be imparting her vision onto the cast. Faculty member Noemi Merenyi once again leads the costume crew, sourcing macabre elements that will bring the full Addams family aesthetic to life on the Grandi Auditorium stage.
“The Addams Family is a perfect show for where our program is right now,” shared Director, Angela Leone ’04. “It’s funny and heartfelt while also asking big questions about family and identity. These are things our students connect to in very real ways and being able to tell this story as our 104th spring musical, with students who are fully invested in every detail both on and off the stage, is incredibly meaningful. This production, like so many that came before, reflects what makes Camden Catholic theatre special: high expectations, deep collaboration, and a genuine love for the work.”
The 2026 musical is Camden Catholic’s 104th! This incredible tradition is among the most historic, not only in South Jersey, but likely the entire United States. Thanks to the school’s support of the arts, as well as dedicated family involvement and loyal alumni support, the spring musical is one of CCHS’ most beloved traditions which has shaped the success of thousands of alumni who have gone on to earn advanced performing arts degrees and worked professionally in theatre and performing arts. One recent example is alumna Natalia Albertini ‘19 who was a featured contestant on NBC’s The Voice in 2025. Natalia, a 2023 graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, is returning to Camden Catholic to host a workshop and Q&A with the school’s Addams Family cast this winter, to give back to the school and the performing arts experience that has given her so much.
Beyond the six weekend performances, The Arts at CCHS also hosts several additional events to promote and support The Arts at CCHS, these include: a behind-the-scenes night for grammar school students on March 4 where they can tour the set, see a portion of dress rehearsal, and do a Q&A with members of the cast and crew; The Addams Family Dinner & A Show event with a preshow meal, cast meet and greet, photo opportunities, and activities on March 7; and a free middle school performance for local 7th and 8th grade students on March 11.
Tickets for the show ($15/person) and The Addams Family Dinner & A Show event ($45/person including dinner and the March 7 performance) are available online www.cchsperformingarts.com. Middle school event registration is available at www.camdencatholic.org/admissions.
