Anatomage Table Camden Catholic

This September, Camden Catholic is proud to unveil an Anatomage Table, the school’s, and the region’s, first such educational tool in a high school. The unveiling of this cutting edge technology is thanks to the support of alumni donors and the HQSI Foundation. The Anatomage Table and its software platform deliver a range of features for interactive learning, such as 3D visualization, pathology examinations and interactive dissection. With the ability to explore lifelike human bodies layer by layer, students can analyze complex organ structures and simulate physiological functions, such as blood circulation and heart motion.

Anatomage Table Camden Catholic“Students seeking scientific medical knowledge now have a cutting-edge resource to help them dissect human anatomy with the most-advanced medical education system available,” Camden Catholic President James Hozier shared. “The acquisition of this incredible learning platform is going to revolutionize the way our students learn at Camden Catholic, helping to spark excitement in the next generation of medical professionals.”

Hozier took over leadership of CCHS this past summer, and given that he is a scientist at heart, with a Master’s in Biology, he is thrilled with this major acquisition. “The Foundation for Healthcare Quality Strategies Inc. and private donations, allowed Camden Catholic to make this purchase which fulfills the Foundation’s mission to empower the next generation of medical professionals.”

Anatomage Table Camden CatholicThe Anatomage Table features various life-size real human bodies in digital formats that provide an accurate representation and simulation of real 3D anatomy, physiology, and digital pathology. The entire system of arteries, veins, and capillaries are fully traced and functionally connected, offering detailed insight with 3D anatomy. Anatomage Bodies also demonstrate physiological functions similar to living bodies. They display the physical behaviors of real tissues during physiological processes, enabling students to accurately understand and visualize these functions.

The Anatomage Table package includes not only the 3D visualization technology, but also a real anatomy database, and comprehensive pathology content, providing classroom resources that help translate complex medical concepts into engaging lessons that inspire students to pursue healthcare. “The Anatomage table gives our students the ability to visually learn about the human body and so much more. It provides our students with an exciting virtual experience in addition to traditional learning,” shared Anatomy teacher Matt Crawford.

Camden Catholic expects to add to the software package so that the device can be used in all STEM classes.
