The Scholarship & High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a requirement of the admissions application for Camden Catholic High School, it is for 8th Graders only. Scores are used to both determine scholarship awards and to place students in the appropriate classes. Every 8th grade applicant is required to take the HSPT. For current 8th graders applying to the Class of 2030 who did not take the test before the application deadline of November 15, you should register to take the test on January 30, 2026. CCHS accepts test scores from other high schools for placement; however, we cannot request these test scores. The family must request these scores to be sent to Camden Catholic. *If you wish to be considered for a Merit Scholarship, the student must have taken the test at one of the Camden Diocesan High Schools (CCHS, GC, PVI) on Saturday, October 25, 2025 and select Camden Catholic to receive the scores. Students who take the test as part of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia testing co-op may also be considered for Merit Scholarships, BUT they must forward their scores to CCHS as well as complete all other steps in the application process. We will not automatically receive score reports from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. • No student who already took the HSPT should register to take it again. This is only for students who have not yet fulfilled that requirement.

• This test is strictly for admissions and placement purposes. No students who take the makeup HSPT are eligible to use the test to qualify for academic scholarships as they missed the November 15, 2025 admission deadline.

HSPT DAY-OF REMINDERS

• Students should bring their registration number and two #2 pencils, NOT mechanical pencils.

• NO calculators are allowed.

• Students can begin to arrive at 8:00am.

• The test will begin at 8:30am and will be done by 11:45AM/12PM.
