Irish Experience Visit Day

For 8th graders only. Step into the shoes of a Camden Catholic student for the day! Each 8th grader is paired with CCHS students who match their academic, arts and extracurricular interests. During the visit, our guests will sit in on 4 high school level classes, meet with our student ambassadors, and experience our unique academic, religious, and arts programs. The Irish Experience Visit Day is highly recommended for every 8th grader who is interested in CCHS. Students do not need to bring anything with them. All supplies and lunch will be provided (if your student has an allergy please let us know in advance <admissions@camdencatholic.org>). Students are asked to wear their school uniform if applicable. If your school does not have a uniform, boys are asked to wear a polo/dress shirt with tie and khakis/slacks; girls are asked to wear a dress or polo/dress shirt with a skirt or slacks/khakis.

Visit Day Agenda:

  • 7:50-8AM Arrive at CCHS. Park in the first lot upon entering the driveway (turn right when you enter the parking lot and pull in to any spot that faces Cuthbert Road). Do not make the left into the back of the parking lot. Each student must be checked in by their parent or another adult. Please escort your student to the CCHS Main Office (entry door by the flag poles, see photo below).

  • Once your parent/adult signs you in and confirms who you will be picked up by, they can be on their way. The 8th grade student is then escorted to the Information Commons by our Green & White ambassadors. Their day begins there by meeting our admissions staff, Green & White student guides, and fellow 8th grade guests during homeroom.

  • Following homeroom, Green & White student guides bring their guests to their classes, followed by a campus tour and lunch.

  • The 8th grade students' day ends in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel where we gather in fellowship and thank God for his blessings. Admissions counselors welcome the students questions at this time as well.

  • 8th Grade students should be picked up at 1:45PM at the Side Entrance to the Dining Hall (see photo below). It is not the same as the morning drop off location. We ask that the parent/adult picking up please park in the side lot and enter the side Dining Hall doors in order to sign your student out for the day.
