Theater: July 5 - July 27, 2017 production "Once on This Island"
This course is designed for those students who are interested in the Performing Arts, particularly Theater Art. Students will spend three weeks engaging in the basics of dramatic performance including the following: theater skills such as character, interpretation, vocal production, and stage presence, as well as choreography, costuming, make-up, and other aspects of theatrical production. On the final day of class, students will perform in a theatrical presentation.
Monday through Thursday - 9 am - 12:30 pm - Cost: $450

Theater Tech Camp: July 5 - July 27

This course is designed for students who love to work behind the scenes. Students will learn and implement lighting, sound, and set design as they prepare to tech our production of "Once on This Island." Monday through Thursday - 9 am - 12:30 pm - Cost: $450. Grades 6 - 8.

High School Theater Ensemble: July 5 - July 28

This summer course challenges the student-actor to use their skills in experiencing the Theatre Arts through theory and application.  Dramatic exercises, improvisation and warm-ups will lay the foundation for strengthening sound acting technique.  The camp will conclude with a Broadway Review and Theatrical Showcase.

9 a.m.-12 p.m. Cost $450. Grades 8-12

Music: July 5 - July 27
Students who choose to attend the Summer Music Program at CCHS will have a unique opportunity to study all facets of musical instructions. Students will study with our uniquely talented faculty to develop a practice plan that will support them as a musician and an artist. Through our variety of elective offerings, students can continue their musical study with course work in conducting, music production, music history, and music theory.

Fine Art: July 5 - July 27

  • Art for the Beginner:
    This course is an introduction to the essential techniques in drawing, painting and design. The beginner artist is exposed to a variety of materials and experiences. This exposure allows the student to develop a working knowledge of the art elements and principles of design. Supplies are included.
    Mondays and Wednesdays - 9 am – 12:30 pm - Cost $350
    Grades 5-8
  • Expressive Drawing & Painting:
    This course covers the mechanics of drawing and painting. Students will develop skills in dry and wet media. Supplies are included.
    Tuesdays and Thursdays – 9 am - 12:30 pm - Cost $350
    Grades 5 - 8

Digital Art: July 5 - 27
Students will learn the basics of working on state of the art iMac computers in addition to producing original artwork with programs used in the professional world to create movie posters, CD covers, comics, magazines and more! *Students must have a 2- 4GB flash drive for class everyday.
