The Board of Trustees, in formation since March 24, 2003 has formed a powerful partnership with the school that will help to shape and secure the future of Camden Catholic for generations to come. The board has four standing committees: Buildings and Grounds, Finance, Academic Policy and Programs, and Advancement and Marketing. The members include:

Board of Trustees Bios
Douglas Casserly: Doug and his wife Marti, both formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, moved to South Jersey in 1989 and reside in Cherry Hill. All five of their daughters are graduates of CCHS: Gretchen '97, Bridget '98 (who now teaches art at CCHS), Colleen '00, Maureen '03, and Annie '06. Doug is a 1973 graduate of St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, and is a 1977 graduate of Penn State, where he earned a BSBA in business logistics. He began his career with Yellow Freight, spent fifteen years with Airborne Express as a regional manager, and has been with Vistar Corporation, a food distribution company, for thirteen years where he is currently the senior vice-president of operations. When not traveling, Doug was active in coaching girls' softball and basketball, and he is still a regular at numerous CCHS events, particularly girls' athletic events. He is honored to serve on the Board and is committed to help continue Catholic education.
John DeFalco ’58: John received a BA in Economics in ’62 from the University of Notre Dame followed by a law degree from Rutgers University in ’65. He has had his own law practice from ’68 to present and served as Solicitor for the Camden County Park Commission, Bellmawr Board of Education, and Gloucester City. He has also served as a Public Defender in Voorhees and the Municipal Prosecutor in Oaklyn and Bellmawr. John has served on several boards including Pioneer State Bank, Carnegie Bank, Camden County College Re-Construction Board, and Santore Sand & Gravel Co. John has two children Nicole and Dayna.
Robert DiStanislao ’78: Bob graduated from Rutgers University in 1983 with a BA in biology. He currently is president of Porsche of the Main Line, a Porsche Premier Dealer, located in Newtown Square, PA. He also is a guest professor at Rutgers University, and is a member of the Dean's Advisory Board for UMDNJ. Bob serves the board as Chair of the Finance Committee.
Nancy Palombo Ehle ’77: Nancy Ehle is president of the Board of Trustees of The Swain School in Allentown PA. The Swain School is a non-denominational independent school serving children aged 3 years old through eighth grade. Nancy has served on the board for nine years in many capacities. She headed the educational policy and personal committee for many years as well as sitting on the development and strategic planning committees.
Community involvement is also a very important to Nancy. She is a member of SOTA(Society of the Arts) which is the volunteer women’s group that supports The Allentown Art Museum. During her ten year affiliation with SOTA, Nancy chaired many board committees. She was actively involved in three designer showhouses which raised over $200,000 for the museum.
Nancy works part time for her husband’s anesthesiology practice in the capacity of accounts payable and payroll management. She graduated from Villanova with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and continued on to graduate from St. Joseph’s University with a Master’s of Science Degree in Health Administration.
Nancy is member of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Orefield, and serves as a Eucharistic Minister. She resides in Orefield with her husband, Bob, two teenage children, Dan and Ally and Sammy, the family dog.
Anthony R. Giorgio ‘68: Tony, since 1979, has his own architectural firm in Haddonfield with Bill Lammey. The firm specializes in institutional and commercial projects for both public and private clients. In 2004, the firm was honored with the Light of Hope Award by Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton for their work with that agency over the last 15 years. The firm has also recently designed the headquarters for the Diocese of Camden, Vicariate for Human Services, as well as projects for local parishes. Tony has been involved in the needs assessment study and a variety of facility improvements at CCHS including the concession building at Shamrock Field, The Emerald Café and the new elevator project.
With the good guidance of Fr. Hart, Tony attended the University of Detroit (now University of Detroit Mercy) where he graduated with a Masters of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Studies. He worked for an architectural firm in Detroit and South Jersey before starting his own practice.
Tony has served on the Board of Directors for the NJ Region of the American Institute of Architects, as Chairman of the Haddon Heights Planning Board, President of the Merchantville Country Club, and a member of the Camden County Construction Board of Appeals. He lives in Haddon Heights with his wife Lynn and their two sons, Steve (an architecture major at Penn) and Nick (a finance major at Virginia Tech).
Charles Grandi '69: Charlie graduated with honors in 1973 from Seton Hall University, where he served as student government president, earning his BA in psychology/biology. He earned his MS in industrial psychology in 1974 from the University of Pennsylvania. He most recently served as president and CEO of Fibre-Metal Products Company in Concordville, PA. Charlie has excelled professionally throughout his career with proven leadership and management skills to build and motivate teams that produce results in key areas of sales growth, profit improvement, new product development, cost reduction and excellence of operation, while being able to create a high performing environment of trust and humor with solid ethical standards.
Charlie and his wife Sallie are parents to a son and a daughter.
Joseph Kenney ’76: Joe is a shareholder in the law firm, Kulzer & DiPadova with an expertise in estate planning, estate administration, corporate tax planning, commercial transactions and tax planning for business owners. After CCHS, Joe graduated from La Salle University in ’82 and Rutgers University in ’87 with a J.D. He earned his LL.M. in Taxation at New York University. He is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida Bar Associations as welll as a Certified Public Accountant. He presently serves as President of the Southwest Jersey Chapter of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter and the Girls Scouts of Camden County, New Jersey, Inc. Joe and his wife Karen have four children.
Msgr. Andrew E. Martin: Msgr. Martin has been at CCHS for 26 years, first as principal, then president and now as president emeritus. He attended St. Charles Minor Seminary (MD) and then St. Mary’s Seminary (MD). Ordained in 1967 in Rome, he completed his theological studies in 1968 and spent a year at Christ the King in Haddonfield. Starting his career in education at Paul VI, Msgr. Martin moved on to Gloucester Catholic in 1975 and was appointed principal at St. James High School in 1978, arriving at CCHS six years later. Along the way, Monsignor earned an MA in educational administration from Notre Dame University. Monsignor retired as school president in June 2010.
Msgr. Robert McDermott ‘60: Since 1985 Msgr. McDermott has been pastor of St. Joseph’s Pro-Cathedral Parish in Camden and has recently been named Vicar General of the Diocese. He served as Episcopal Vicar of the city of Camden for 18 years, responsible for all parishes of the city in their relationship with the Diocese. Monsignor serves as Chairman of the Board of the St. Joseph’s Society, which addresses the housing crisis in Camden. In 1998, he opened an urban retreat center for justice education, “The Romero Center”. Previously, Monsignor has been pastor at St. Vincent Pallotti Church and St. Luke’s Church as well as Department Chairperson and teacher of Theology at Camden Catholic High School.
Msgr. McDermott received a B.A. from St. Mary’s Seminary and University, a B.S. and M.A. from The Catholic University of America. He has served on various Boards such as World Wide Marriage Encounter, Delaware Valley Together, Cooper Ferry Redevelopment Association, Catholic Charities, Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey, and Lourdes Hospital’s Camden Learning Collaborative. In his spare time Monsignor enjoys being the assistant boys’ basketball coach at Camden Catholic High School.
Duane Myers '77: Duane founded M&C Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1984, and is currently president and CEO. He is certified in property, casualty, life and health insurances, holds a Series 6 license, and is a member of the Independent Insurance Agencies. Duane received a BA degree in accounting and business administration from Rutgers University, Camden campus. He passed the Insurance Practices and Principles and the state insurance examination through his attendance at the South Jersey Professional School of Business. Duane serves on numerous boards throughout South Jersey, including Cooper University Hospital, Boys & Girls Club of Camden County (board chairman), and Camden County Citizens Advisory Board. He resides in Sewell, NJ.
Rev. Scott Pilarz, S.J. ’77: Currrently president of the University of Scranton, Fr. Pilarz earned his A.B. in English from Georgetown University followed by an MA in Philosophy from Fordham University, an MDiv and ThM from Weston Jesuit School of Theology, and his PhD in English from City University of New York in 1996. Until his recent appointment he was Assistant Professor of English at Georgetown. In addition he has served as a member of the board of directors of both the University of Scranton and Georgetown Preparatory School and the Georgetown Alumni Association board of governors. Scott serves on the Academic Policy and Programs and Advancement and Marketing Committees.
Dean A. Ragone ‘76: Dean is a graduate of Rutgers University and is owner and principal of allRisk Property Damage Experts. He shares his leadership skills with several initiatives focused on improving the quality of life for Camden city residents. As a board member of the Camden Angels, Dean’s efforts help to meet the Angels’ mission of providing charitable gifts to over 2500 Camden families. Dean has also lent his personal expertise and business talents to many boards and organizations including The Goodwill Industries(2006), Thomas Jefferson University, Board of Spinal Chord Research(’86-’96), Big Brothers/Big Sisters (’86-’96), Harvest Village Assisted Living Community(’95-’01), and Bancroft Neurohealth(’00-’02). Lastly, Dean was the co-founder and team spokesman for the first quad rugby team, The Magee Rehab Rolling Eagles, hosted a local radio show entitled “Disability Roundtable” and he was a contributing author for a book on spinal cord injuries.
Colleen Ready ’77: Colleen graduated Cum Laude from Boston College with a BA in 1981, and received her Juris Doctorate (Cum Laude) from Boston College in 1984. She is a partner with the law firm of Margolis Edelstein. Colleen specializes in the litigation of such areas as dram shop liability, product liability, podiatric malpractice, and construction defects. She is also responsible for the supervision of all law firm associates, including performance evaluations. She is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Camden County Bar Association. Colleen and husband James Wallace reside in Cherry Hill, and are the parents of Megan.
Evelyn Ruiz: Evelyn and husband Tomas are the parents of four children, all CCHS graduates: Emily ’95, Florentina ’00, Tomas ’05, and Christopher ’07.
Evelyn is a graduate of Penns Grove High School, and she earned a Bachelor’s degree in education at Glassboro State University (Rowan University) in 1986. She entered the education field as a special education teacher, and earned her Masters degree in school leadership and instruction from Wilmington College in 2004. Evelyn has been the principal at Harry C. Sharp Elementary School in the Cramer Hill section of Camden for the last six years. She is a member of the International Reading Association, West Jersey Reading Council and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
In 1996 Evelyn received the Prominent Latino Award in Education from the Camden County Office of Hispanic Affairs, for her years of service and dedication to the children of Camden. In 2004 she received the John Galiano Award from the St. Peter’s Athletic Association for service, dedication, and the development of the program. Evelyn is also past president and member of the Camden Catholic Irish Football Club. As a member of St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral Parish she, along with her husband, has been a lead instructor in the Baptismal Preparation Program.
Linda Schilling '70: Linda is chief administrative officer for Ironbound Capital Management LP located in Princeton. She previously was a partner at DeAngelis, Golubieski and Schilling, CPA's, was senior manager of the audit department and director of administrative services for KPMG, and served as executive assistant for Peoples National Bank of Central Jersey.
Linda earned her BS in accounting from Rutgers Universityin 1978, and is a CPA in the state of New Jersey. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Linda is also active in her parish, Nativity of Our Lord, located in Monroe Township. She serves as chair of the parish finance council and is president of the St. Vincent de Paul Conference. She and husband James Golubieski are the parents of Laura, Theresa and Matthew.
Frank V. Tedesco ‘66: Frank is the managing partner of the New Jersey office for Dilworth Paxson, LLP. He has extensive experience in the acquisition and development of residential and commercial real estate. Mr. Tedesco served as bond counsel to the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, counsel to underwriters, trustees, and bond purchasers and borrowers in various tax exempt financing. He served as the solicitor for the Borough of Merchantville for 20 years and the Oaklyn Planning Board for 5 years. He is a proud alumnus of Camden Catholic High School, University of Maryland ’70, and Villanova University School of Law ’73.
Sister Barbara Williams ‘56: Sister Barbara is currently President Emerita/Archivist of Georgian Court University. She served as President from 1980 to 2000 and in other administrative capacities such as Dean of Academic Affairs, Director of Library Services, and Registrar with the University since 1960.
After graduating from Camden Catholic, Sister received her B.A. from Georgian Court College, a M. L. S. from Rutgers University, and a M.A. in Catechetical Theology from Manhattan College as well as completed the candidacy examinations and all course work in the Ph.D. program in Higher Education at New York University.
Sister gains Board experience from her involvement in several Boards of Directors such as Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in New Jersey, Independent College Fund of New Jersey, New Jersey Natural Gas Company, and Ocean County Private Industry Council. Sister Barbara has numerous awards and recognitions; many associated with leadership roles in education. She brings a wealth of academic knowledge to the Board of Trustees.
Leonard Wood '68: Leonard received his BA in psychology from Manhattan College in 1972, and a JD, with honors, from Rutgers Camden Law School in 1976. He is currently the managing member of Wade, Long, Wood and Kennedy, LLC, a law firm in Gloucester Township. He is a volunteer pro bono attorney for Camden County Legal Services, and was honored with the Legal Services of New Jersey Equal Justice Medal in 2004.
Leonard has served as president of the Voorhees Soccer Association, and is a founding member of the Voorhees Girls' Softball Association. He is a member of the advisory board for The Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation, and chairman of the New Jersey Sons of Italy Foundation. Leonard also is a member of the Merchantville Country Club and served for seven years as both its solicitor and on the Board of Governors. He was inducted in 2004 into the CCHS Basketball Wall of Fame. Leonard and his wife, Cathy Dugan '68, have two children Leonard III and Tara.
