Mark Vittese finished his sixth season as head coach of the Irish field hockey team in 2018. As head coach, Vittese has led the Irish to an 80-44-4 record. In addition to his CCHS coaching duties, Vittese has an extensive history serving as a board and chair member of the United States Association of Roller Sports as well as owing his own field hockey club. Vittese is a Level 2 certified coach by USA field hockey.
Before taking over as head coach, Vittese sent his three daughters to Camden Catholic where they stood out as athletes in both field hockey and lacrosse. Michelle ’08, Carissa ’09, and Tara ’15 all went on to play field hockey at the University of Virginia. The Vittese sisters all play for the United States Women’s National Team.
In addition to being a dedicated coach and father, Vittese has been practicing law since 1986. He has multiple licenses as well as a long list of memberships to professional law associations. Vittese was a member of the Supreme Court of New Jersey District IV Ethics Committee from 1995-1999.
Coach Vittese and his family’s commitment the winning traditions of the Irish have been, and will continue to be essential to the Camden Catholic community.
