The Camden Catholic Guidance Department serves students in several ways. Academically, the counselors seek to assist students in organizing and motivating themselves for the rigors of high school work. Personally, counselors assist students in sorting out the difficulties of adolescence, and partner with area professionals when necessary. In planning for college, counselors begin the preparation for college in freshman year with the guided placement of students in college prep or honors courses. Counselors work to assist students in focusing on careers and the collegiate training necessary for them. During junior and senior year the students meet with their counselors in order to map a plan for their future beyond high school. Students are given a College Application Guide, financial aid information, and career information. This four year comprehensive program prepares the student for their success after Camden Catholic High School.
